Why was the background music removed from the following site: Homepage DD1US? It has been missing since like 2006. Well, I contacted Matthias Bopp, and he said that the reason he removed it was that he was afraid that he might get in trouble due to missing rights. Apparently he was not granted music rights by Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte(GEMA). He didn't apply for them. Matthias Bopp knew that other websites were being sued for using music without rights. He wanted to avoid that, so he removed the background music from his site. on Homepage DD1US music
